ChatGPT: Are We Going To Lose All creativity?

I know it's been a while, but I needed some time for this whole chat GTP thing to blow over and perhaps come to the point where I begin to write from the heart and not by anybody's preconceived notion of what they think should be correct. Since this whole hullabaloo of the emergence of AI, people like myself that loved to write for sports became very concerned. It probably will be the same concern that most people in the creative space would have felt, considering that we thought that creativity and originality would be the things that will not be hijacked by technology. Still, in the area of writing, it appears that a major part of it has already been hijacked.

Since the emergence and popularity of ChatGPT, a huge question emerged as to what will be considered original content, considering that machines could now write content that would pass through the firewall of plagiarism. the first time I heard about this new tech, it kind of blew me away, and being the kind of person that I am, I did not hesitate to try it out immediately.

One of the first things I asked ChatGPT to do was to write an article on the MLK march. I knew that a ton of articles would have been written about it and the technology would scour the internet and make up its own writing; but what I was really interested in finding out was the language, the style of writing and then how much of it would be plagiarized. I have to admit that after running it through my plagiarism software, I was amazed at the dexterity with which machines could convey a narrative of an event and still find it's own original words.

As it stands right now, anyone who understands how to use this technology will find easier ways to make a quick mock-up of any topic that they want to write on. Kids will easily have access to this and inasmuch as most teachers or instructors may know about this tech, they probably will still need another technology to be able to identify a student's homework that may have been done with the assistance of AI.

As with all the inventions that have been created by man to improve the way we do things in this world, there are things that have been made that have been very useful, you know, cars, and airplanes, to mention but a few, but there appear to be something about machines trying out creative work that should only be performed by humans. as a matter of fact, we can't really call the production the AI gives something that is creative considering that it is a product of something that is already out there. The only benefit it has is that it will beat any human being with the speed with which it will gather the information out there and produce in seconds what it could take human hours to produce. also, AI's writing, I would say has a bland sounding voice as compared to a human being trying to express a candid thought. I can't deny that AI articles may have some articles that may sound like it has a semblance of a human expression, but we must not forget that it has the ability to mimic any already human idea that may have been expressed in an article somewhere in cyberspace.

Most may also know that AI has the ability to create pictures, yes! Artificial intelligence can make paintings! and these paintings will compere or even be better than some of the best artists that are out there. But we mist not also forget that these paintings are also created from some of the already existing paintings that are out there; the same way that AI can gather the words used to express an existing event in its own words, it can do the same with already existing artwork.

Anything created by man with the intention of making life a little easier is welcomed, there are also inventions that have not been beneficial in the long run for humans; an example is social media that came with the initial intention of connecting us all but appears to have morphed into something that divides us more than it unites us. we must also place into consideration that there are inventions that may be beneficial to everyday people and there are those that will be beneficial to corporations. AI is projected to bring about huge job cuts by employers, especially for people that work tech jobs, because guess what? AI can write all that code that you have told your son to go and learn because you were told that people who code are the next billionaires.

Ok, away from the jokes. I do not want to believe that the creativity of man is threatened by machines, neither am I a proponent of the Sarah Connor theories flying around purporting that machines are going to enslave all of humanity. All I know is that original art and writing will always exist; AI only contributes the same way that we now need a calculator to do basic mathematics or the way we now talk to Alexa to play us a song. The need for writers will probably plummet, and lots of bloggers now can easily create original 500-word content in seconds for a topic that they do not know anything about. But amidst all of this, there will be a hunger for an original voice. I think that avid readers, or the readers that will matter will easily identify the pattern of writing of AI or will be able to identify things that are produced by AI. Or, there will be some other technology that will be invented to identify writing that was done by AI. Whatever iteration of technology that may surface that will surpass any of these AI type-technologies, we must always bear in mind that machines can only use already existing created material to produce anything, but the true creators will only be humans.

Why Do Non-American Soccer Fans Think American Football Is So Complicated

One of the main reasons that  immigrants  in  A merica  find it difficult to watch American football  is  that the rules are not as simple as their regular soccer that most of the ones who have lived in Africa or other Spanish nations may be  familiar with.  Before migrating to America, I was mainly used to watching soccer.    In Nigeria, soccer was quite a popular sport  and  had a considerable following, especially the English Premier League.  Define loyalty that existed in Nigeria was very strong; in some  cases,  you would see many fans showing their commitment to  En glish clubs while others would show their loyalty  2  Spanish or Italian clubs . I vividly remember this particular year, when Arsenal Football Club and Barcelona qualified for the Champions League final. In the city of Lagos , it was known that there was a lot of fighting between fans, and this was not just your regular  fight; people  got seriously injured.     At that time, I lived in the Suru-Lere area of  Lagos,

Nigerians Are The Most Educated Immigrants ... Why It Could be Questioned

After the the election that was held in Nigeria last year, and all that came with it, I think that it will be easy to conclude that no matter how much anyone wants to argue, all elections will leave a bad taste in someone's mouth. There will be those that will be happy about the results, and there will be those that will be livid and bitter until the next election cycle comes around. Having moved to America in the time of Trump, and taking a front row seat to palpable anger and the division that came with Trump's regime, I relapsed that there never will come a time when the outcome of any election will keep everybody satisfied. There will always be winners and losers, new friendships will be made and existing friendships will be broken.  Living in America, it takes a while to realize that you represent the country that you come from. If you speak, and your voice does not have the traditional sounding American voice (if that is a thing) then the chances are high that someone wi
